Zion Down Canyon

You can catch this view by hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park, Utah. The Virgin River has carved this canyon through sandstone over millions of years and how spectacularly it has done so! You can see the river in the lower left of the image. It’s a dirty brownish color because of the tremendous amount of sediment the the river rips from the canyon walls every year; it is estimated to be more than one million tons of dirt and sand every single year.
